Chugar (young tamarind leaves) curry



Ingredients:
1.     Chugar- 250 gm
2.     Mutton- 250 gm
3.     Onion- 500 gm
4.     Salt- 1 ½ tsp
5.     Red chili powder- 1 tsp
6.     Turmeric powder- 1/4  tsp
7.     Garlic ginger paste- 1 ½ tsp
8.     Green chilies- 8
9.     Coriander- 2 bunches
10. Oil- 100 gm

Method:
  • Keep a vessel on stove, pour oil and fry sliced onion and green chilies till onion turns soft.
  • Now add meat, salt (1 tsp), red chili powder, turmeric powder, garlic ginger paste and fry till water of meat dries.
  • Now add water and cook till meat becomes half tender.
  • Then stir.
  • Now add chugar, salt (1/2 tsp) and 200 ml water, and cook till meat becomes completely tender.
  • Now add coriander and cook till water completely dries.
  • Put off the stove.
