Tomato Chutney


           

Ingredients:
  1. Tomato- 1 kg
  2. Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  3. Garlic ginger paste- 1 tsp
  4. Salt- 1 ½ tsp
  5. Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  6. Dhanya -zeera powder- 1 tsp
  7. Onion- 1
  8. Oil- 100 gm
Ingredients For Bagar:
  1. Zeera- 1 tsp
  2. Rai- ½ tsp
  3. Kalonji- ¼ tsp
  4. Methi seeds- ¼ tsp
  5. dried red chilies-5
Method:
  • Wash tomato and cut it into small pieces and keep aside.
  • Similarly, cut onion into small pieces.
  • Pour oil in a vessel add zeera and cook till it turns light brown. Now add rai, kalonji, methi,dried red chillies(cut into two pieces) and fry for 2 mins and put off the stove.
  • Now wait for 5 mins for oil to cool.
  • Put on the flame and add onion and fry till onion turns soft.
  • Now add garlic ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Stir well so that every thing mix well.  Do not add water in the chutney.
  • Now add tomato, dhanya- zeera powder and mix together. Cover with lid and set lowest flame.
  • Remove lid and stir after every 5 mins till water of tomato dries.
  • Tomato Chutney is ready to serve.
