Khatti Daal


  
Ingredients:
1.     Daal tuwar- 200 gm
2.     Tomato—200 gm
3.     Coriander- 2
4.     Curry leaves-1
5.     Tamarind paste- 50 gm
6.     Salt-   1 ½ tsp
7.     Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
8.     Red chilli powder- ½ tsp
9.     Garlic & ginger paste- 1 tsp
Ingrdients For Bagar:
1.     Zeera- 1 tsp
2.     Rai- ½ tsp
3.     Kalonji – ¼ tsp
4.     Dried red chillies- 6
5.     Oil- 50 gm
Method:
  • In a vessel  wash daal and add 2 glass water, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garlic ginger paste, tomato and cook until daal becomes tender.
  • Now add salt and mash it. Then add water (500 ml), tamarind paste, coriander and curry leaves. Let this boil for 10 mins. And keep aside.
  • Pour oil in a vessel , heat oil and add zeera when this turns light brown add kalonji , rai and dried red chillies. When chillies are frien put off the flame.
  • After 2 mins the daal which was kept aside is to be mixed with this.
