Fish Curry -1


                                

Ingredients:
1.     Fish- 1 kg
2.     Sesame (till)- 50 gm
3.     Dry coconut- 50 gm
4.     Groundnut- 50 gm
5.     Tamarind paste- 50 gm
6.     Dhanya -zeera powder- 1 tsp
7.     Green chillies- 10
8.     Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
9.     Salt- 1 ½ tsp
10.   Garlic ginger paste- 2 tsp
11.   Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
12.  Onion-1
13.  Coriander- 2 bunches
14.   Curry leaves- few

Ingredients For Bagar:
1.     Zeera- 1 tsp
2.     Rai- ½ tsp
3.     Kalonji- ¼ tsp
4.     Methi seeds- ¼ tsp

Method:
  • Roast sesame, coconut and groundnut, grind it and keep aside.
  • Fry onion and green chillies, let it cool then grind it and keep aside.
  • To the same oil add zeera and cook till this turns light brown then add rai, kalonji, methi and fry for 2 mins.
  •  Put off the stove and let the oil cool a little. Then add fish, garlic ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chilli, salt and fry till water of fish dries.
  • Now add sesam, coconut, groundnut , onion and green chilli paste, tamarind paste, dhanya zeera powder and mix well.
  • Now add water and cook till fish turns tender.
  • Then add water ( ½ ltr), coriander and curry leaves. And boil for 5 mins.
  • Then leave on lowest flame for 15 mins.
  • Fish Curry is ready.
