Choba Puri


                                   
INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING:
1.     Dry coconut- 100 gm
2.     Almonds- 50 gm
3.     Raisins- 50 gm
4.     Khowa- 500 gm
5.     Sugar- 400 gm

INGREDIENTS OF PURI:
1.     Maida- 500 gm
2.     Ghee- 100 gm
3.     Water
4.     Oil for frying
METHOD:
  • Grate the dry coconut.
  • Soak almonds for 5-12 hrs, peel its skin and cut into vertical small pieces.
  • In a vessel take sugar add a glass of water to it and boil for 5 mins. This is your sugar syrup.
  • In a vessel take khova add  a cup of water and cook till it turns brown. Keep stirring.
  • To the cooked khova add sugar syrup, grated coconut, raisins and almonds.
  • Now cook this till water dries. Filling is ready.
METHOD OF PURI:
  • Mix maida and ghee.
  • Now add water and make its dough.
  • Take small amount of dough and make a small chapatti, put the filling, apply water to the corners of chapatti and fold it giving a semi- circular shape. Press the corners of the puri.
  • In a kadhai heat oil, and deep fry the puris. Drain the excess oil completely before taking off the kadhai.
  • Choba Puri is now ready.
