Shikampur






Ingredients
1.     Mutton- 1kg
2.     Oil- 200 gm
3.     Onion-1
4.     Salt- 2 tsp
5.     Red chillie powder- 1 tsp
6.     Turmeric power- 1/2 tsp
7.     Garlic Ginger paste- 2 tsp
8.     Green chllies- 15
9.     Shazira powder- 1 tsp
10.   Elaichi powder- 1 tsp
11.  Cinnamon- 2 (3 inches each)
12.   Cloves- 10
13.  Almonds- 50 gm
14.   Wallnut- 50 gm
15.  Corriander-2 bunches
16. Mint-1 bunch
17.   Chana daal-50 gm (soaked in water for min of 2 hrs)
  Ingredients For Chutni:
1.     Curd-200 gm (drain water from curd)
2.     Corriander-1
3.     Onion-1
4.     Salt - ¼ tsp
 Method Of Chutni:
1.     Put the curd in a mesh and drain the water extracted.
2.     Take curd in a bowl and add coriander, onion and salt and mix these together
3.     Chatni is now ready.
4.     Keep it aside.
Method Of making Shikampur:
  • In a vessel add meat,red chilli, garlic ginger, oil, turmeric and salt, shazira-elaichi,chana daal and onion cut into 4 pieces. Now add water.
  • Keep the vessel on stove ,cover lid and cook untill meat becomes tender. Let the water dry and put off the stove.
  • Grind cinnamom, cloves and almonds,wallnuts and then corriander, mint and green chillies.
  • Let meat cool down. Then add the above grinded ingredients.
  • Now Grind the meat.
  • Now take some meat and spread it and put chutni in it and give it shape of a  bulged ball.
  • Now shallow fry. Shikampur is now ready.
